Give all of us gathered here tonight the strength to remember that life is so very fragile. We are all vulnerable and we will all at some point in our lives fall; we will all fall. We must carry this in our hearts…that what we have is special. That it can be taken from us and that when it is taken from us we will be tested…we will be tested to our very souls. We will now all be tested. It is these times…it is this pain that allows us to look inside ourselves

I’ve known this young man since before he hit puberty, and this young man has done a lot of things wrong. I’ve seen him do a dozen things wrong, but let me tell you something right now, he is not a bad young man, and he’s certainty not a criminal. He doesn’t need to be in this system. He dated my daughter for years, and we took him in like family. So he’s like family to me, and I can tell you this kid right here has got more heart than almost any person I know. And I can promise you that when you let him out, he will have a full time job working for me, and I can guarantee you that nothing like this will ever happen again. You have my word on that. It’s time for you to let Tim Riggins come home.
